Pirate Pulse Predictions: ECU vs Tulsa

The lights are back on inside Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium for another Thursday night showdown, and the Pirate Pulse crew is here to make their picks. After a tough loss at Tulane, East Carolina returns home looking to get back on track against Tulsa — and everyone agrees this one feels like a must-win.

Here’s how the crew sees it going:

Trey Scott

Prediction: ECU by 7

“Tough, gritty win. The Pirates really need this one and they’re going to play like it.”

Adam Johnson

Prediction: ECU in a big way

“I think we win by a lot. Tulsa isn’t great and we need this win. Like Trey said, I think they’ll come out hot.”

Chance Scott

Prediction: ECU by 3+ touchdowns

“I think the Pirates are finally going to put together a full four-quarter game and win by 3+ touchdowns. I expect a big night from Katin Houser. Tulsa runs a pretty base concept defense and that will allow Katin to just take what the defense gives him.”

The Final Word

Each member of the Pirate Pulse crew sees the Pirates getting back in the win column Thursday night — the only question is by how much. With home-field energy, primetime pressure, and a chance to reset before the bye, ECU will look to make a statement in front of Pirate Nation.

Kickoff between East Carolina and Tulsa is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
