Pirate Pulse Score Predictions: ECU vs. NC State
Game day is finally here, and that means it’s time for the Pirate Pulse team to weigh in with their score predictions for tonight’s season opener between East Carolina and NC State at Carter-Finley Stadium. The stakes are high, the emotions even higher, and this one should be an absolute battle in Raleigh.
Trey Scott:
“I think this game is a coin flip. However, I really like Coach Blake Harrell and what he is building. I have seen a difference, I also have seen first-hand how the players really love playing for him and don’t mind bringing that up in interviews. I got Pirates winning 31-28.”
Adam Johnson:
“Think this game comes down to who makes the least mistakes and who can step up in big moments. Think Harrell has the guys believing they can play and they know NC State wants to get their rematch. Pirates 35-30.”
Skyler Scott:
” I’ve gone back and forth on this one all week. I think ECU has enough firepower on offense to hang with NC State, but being in Raleigh with the Wolfpack hungry for revenge makes it a tough spot for the Pirates. I’ll say NC State edges this one late, 31-28.”
So there you have it: two votes for a Pirate upset, and one for the Wolfpack to squeak by at home. Either way, the Pirate Pulse crew is expecting a nail-biter.
Kickoff is set for 7:00 pm on the ACC Network.
