Pirates Reveal 2025-26 Non-Conference Schedule
East Carolina men’s basketball has officially unveiled its 2025-26 non-conference slate, a 13-game schedule that features a loaded tournament trip to Florida and a marquee road matchup just before the holidays.
For the fifth year in a row, ECU will open the season at home — this time welcoming Georgia Southern to Minges Coliseum on Nov. 4. That opener kicks off a back-and-forth stretch that includes road trips to Richmond (Nov. 8) and UNCW (Nov. 18) sandwiched around home dates with Elizabeth City State (Nov. 13) and Charleston Southern (Nov. 21).
After that, the Pirates will head south for the Fort Myers Tip-Off, a holiday tournament that pits them against two brand-name opponents for the first time in program history. ECU will square off against Michigan State on Nov. 25, followed by a game against St. Bonaventure on Nov. 27.
Once back home, ECU fans will get a heavy dose of Minges Coliseum action in December. The Pirates host Maryland Eastern Shore (Dec. 2), UNC Greensboro (Dec. 6), App State (Dec. 11), Buffalo (Dec. 14), and Presbyterian (Dec. 17) in a stretch that should build momentum heading into conference play.
The non-conference finale comes just a few days before Christmas, as ECU travels to Chapel Hill to face North Carolina on Dec. 22 in one of the biggest challenges on the slate.
Game times, TV details, and the full American Conference schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.
