IMG Academy OL Joshua Singleton Commits to ECU

East Carolina has added another important piece to its 2026 recruiting class, securing a commitment from offensive lineman Joshua Singleton. The 6-foot-5, 315-pound prospect from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, announced his pledge to the Pirates on Thursday after taking an official visit to Greenville on June 12. Singleton chose ECU over several FBS programs, including FIU, Florida Atlantic, Liberty, Old Dominion, South Florida, and Western Kentucky.

Singleton originally received an offer from the Pirates during the January open recruiting period and remained a priority target for the staff throughout the spring. His commitment gives ECU its first offensive line addition from the Sunshine State in this cycle and adds much-needed size and physicality to the trenches. Singleton is expected to enroll early in January, giving him a head start on player development and acclimating to the college level.

Before landing at IMG for his senior season, Singleton played his junior year at St. Augustine High School, where he helped lead the Yellow Jackets to an 11–2 record and a trip to the Florida state semifinals, where they eventually fell to national powerhouse American Heritage. He began his high school career at Flagler Palm Coast before transferring to St. Augustine, and now takes another step up in competition at IMG — one of the top prep programs in the country.

With his size, strength, and experience against elite competition, Singleton projects as a guard or right tackle in ECU’s offensive system. His early enrollment will give him a valuable opportunity to develop physically and mentally before the 2026 season.

Singleton is the second offensive lineman to commit to ECU in the 2026 class, joining Preston Broadway. His addition brings the Pirates’ public commitment total to 13. The class continues to build geographic diversity with strong Southeast ties, featuring multiple pledges from Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina — with Singleton now representing Florida.

ECU remains active on the offensive line recruiting front and is still awaiting a decision from another key target, recent official visitor Josh Battle, who projects as a college tackle and could become another cornerstone piece up front.
