Rai’shawn Elmore Becomes First Skill Commit in ECU’s 2026 Class
East Carolina has landed its first offensive skill position commitment of the 2026 recruiting cycle, securing a pledge from Rai’shawn Elmore, a three-star wide receiver out of Porter Ridge High School in Indian Trail, North Carolina.
Elmore, rated an 86 overall by 247Sports, becomes one of the most notable additions to date in ECU’s 2026 class. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound prospect chose the Pirates over offers from App State, Coastal Carolina, Jacksonville State, James Madison, and Liberty, following official visits to both Michigan State and Charlotte.
Elmore lined up in virtually every skill position spot for Porter Ridge as a junior. outside receiver, slot, running back, Wildcat quarterback and was heavily used in motion. He also handled kick return duties, further highlighting his all-around value.
That usage makes him a bit of a tweener between being a true outside receiver and more of an inside weapon, but that versatility may be his biggest strength. Simply put, Elmore looks like a guy you can plug into multiple spots and find ways to let him make plays.
With Elmore now in the fold, ECU has landed a dynamic and flexible piece to kick off its offensive skill haul for 2026 and one that could contribute in more ways than one once he arrives in Greenville.
